How much darkness can be packed into a small venue? On April 25th, Chop Suey will play host a cadre of bands that will attempt to find out. Cathartic dirge slingers Atriarch are headlining, bringing their funerary, mind-expanding gloom to the stage. Also playing is Taurus, fresh off the release of their full-length album No/Thing. Primal, psychedelic and nightmarish, Taurus provides an otherworldly counterpoint to Atriarch’s earthy sound. Local experimental heavy hitters Golgothan Sunrise, along with the brand spankin’ new group Animal People (their first show ever was a few days ago) round out the bill.
