Start your weekend off early this week with some serious volume at the Narwhal on Thursday night. Local shred-worshipers Lb.! will be headlining a crushingly solid bill with Portland’s cave-noise power duo A Volcano and their Rose City riff-brethren Moan. If you haven’t heard Lb.! already, you’ve been making some serious mistakes in your life, and simply ought to remedy that as soon as possible. A Volcano are one of those two-piece bands that seem to somehow conjure an inexplicably unbalanced noise to band-member ratio. They are loud and unruly in the best ways possible. Moan doesn’t seem to have any audio to preview, but I’m sure if they’re coming up with A Volcano, they will be noisy and great. Opening the night will be hard hitting brotherly duo Kleine, whose penchant for blowing minds with their intense live show makes it a necessity to appear to this rager on time. Music starts at 10pm at the Narwhal (basement of the Unicorn) with a $7 cover, 21+.
