Company Bar, owned by Seattle musician and music lover Jesse Lovell, is one of the shining stars of the White Center area. Although Company is generally set up to be a bar/restaurant, Lovell does, on special occasions, do an extraordinary amount of work to clear out all the dining tables and set up a stage for what always turns out to be a killer fucking show. This Saturday, January 25, 2014, is a special occasion indeed as Company will be celebrating its third anniversary with a FREE event that will undoubtedly rock the entire neighborhood. The ever-frenetic destroyers, Princess will headline, shaking the rafters as they celebrate their Selling Sulphur LP release. Also on the bill is a band of Seattle rippers (comprised of former members of Absolute Monarchs and Das Llamas) known as Blood Drugs and the unbelievably powerful driving guitar/drums duo of Tacos! You won’t need any dough to get in the door, but bringing a fist full of paper money will allow you to bypass the wait at the main bar by taking advantage of the cash only side bar for quick beer access during the show. Between sets, take note of the art on the walls as Lovell has been working to create an all-encompassing Pacific Northwest heavy music atmosphere for the event by bringing works from local music photographer Matt Koroulis. Doors open at 8:00 PM.
